Writer, editor, daughter, friend, trend-spotter, city girl and country gal and back to city girl again.
As a former Ford Model, I’ve always had a knack for fashion, and I love having the opportunity to share the trends of Manhattan with you sassy suburbanites. Think of me as your ‘urban to suburban connection.’ After graduating high school in rural New Jersey, I crossed over the river and attended The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC (yes, some of us jersey girls do have a sense of style) where I fine-tuned my love for all things fashion, advertising and marketing—and yes, tequila cosmos, too.
Two semesters later, always one for trying something new, I decided to kick off my stilettos and head west to California. There, I lived in the ultimate ‘burb: Newport Beach where I drove my car down PCH, looked out on the ocean on a daily basis and well, fit in just fine as a California girl—blonde hair and all. Hate the game not the player.
All the while though, the pull of the city and all its energy was calling me back and that is where you find me now: in a 900 square foot apartment on the Upper East Side with my steady boy, dreaming of a garbage disposal. And though I’m not a suburbanite (yet), I appreciate all the wonders of the ‘burbs—mostly all the closet space.
Some people call me an old soul, but I like to think that I simply listen, observe and relate. I’m a goofball and a news-junkie. I have way too many pairs of jeans, and just as many quirks to go with them. Oh yes, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the BusyBusyHappy team.
